CBN turning insert

The coated CBN cutting inserts can perform efficiently in both heavy interrupted and continuous hard cutting. The inserts employ a TiN/TiCN coating on a tough CBN. It is also composed of a cemented carbide substrate which can enhance the wear resistance.

The inserts can also provide a good surface finish during the processing method. As the units have a hardness value, they can withstand high temperatures when processing hard steel. They also last a long service life due to their coating.

The CBN is ideal for use in CNC-type lathes where the speed and feed are consistent. It is also suitable for use where material hardness is above 50 Rc. The finish turning of the hardened steel can be both through-hardened and cast-hardened.
